The Dryden Native Friendship Centre (DNFC) is currently accepting resumes for Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function within the organization. The HR Generalist will provide guidance and leadership through effective and efficient human resource practices leading to a high performance, employee friendly culture reflective of the vision and values of the DNFC.
Schedule:
Regular full-time hours. Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm, 35 hours per week. Some flexibility to meet organizational needs.
This position is a regular full-time employment opportunity and is eligible for group retirement, extended benefits, and paid time off.
Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
Lead the ongoing development, administration and maintenance of human resources policies and procedures to accommodate organizational growth as well as meeting legal requirements.
Align human resource functions with the strategic goals of the organization.
Assist with the implementation and annual updates to the total compensation rewards program
Maintain and create job descriptions as required
Payroll processing in partnership with the finance department on a bi-weekly basis, maintain the ADP EzLabor Manager records
Provide day to day administration and oversight of the organizations benefit plan.
Manage WSIB claims reporting and return to work process
Oversee Employee Orientation, Training and Development
Conduct workplace investigations
Oversees the practice of health and safety standards in compliance legal requirements
Responsible for the full cycle of the employee – recruitment, retention, and end of employment.
Ensure organizational compliance with all existing relevant legislation
Qualifications:
Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent experience.
Two to five years’ experience managing human resources within a progressive organization is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation including but not limited to Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pay Equity Act, etc.
Experience with ADP EzLabor Manager or other digital timecard systems is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Excellent written, verbal, organizational and leadership skills.
Knowledge of Indigenous culture, tradition, language and Indigenous community is an asset
Proficient computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Suites including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
Work Conditions & Remuneration
Working in a shared office environment and occasionally in a daycare setting
$27-31.00 Hourly Rate
